Rene Ruiz premieres his new collection at a benefit for Fisher Island Day School aboard the Oceania Cruise Ship “Regatta”. The fashion show gala luncheon was first class all the way with Versace table settings.

Rene Ruiz, glamour fashion designer, became interested in fashion during the 1970’s in Cuba when he was just a young man. He wanted to design to up lift himself out of the shabby sad surroundings of the world he saw around him growing up. He was inspired by the designers from the glamorous years of the 1940’s and 1950’s. Designers such as Christian Dior, Edith Head and Adrian, just to name a few. Glamour was always on his mind when designing his clothes. He came to Miami in the early years of his youth and earned his degree from the International Fine Art College Miami. His fashions include a full line of evening gowns as well as specializing in wedding gowns. He will be launching his new Fall Collection in New York this year.
